A Creative Platform Where the World Comes First
Grow
Your World.
A living world blooms from the seed of an idea. Create, nurture and explore it alongside an AI. Here the world itself takes center stage.
This week's world seed
Start a world with one question
“A river changes course every spring, and the border moves with it. Which town profits, and which one has never forgiven that?”
The first thing the AI will ask you
What does the moving border decide — taxes, marriages, or where the dead may be buried?
You don't need the answer yet. Start with a name and one line, then grow your first element with AI.
A Different Approach
Not a "story" — a living world
Other tools start with the output: "write a novel," "keep my tabletop RPG notes." Worldseed is different. The world itself is the protagonist. Stories, characters, and visuals all emerge naturally from the world you build.
Features
Six forces for building worlds
Build a world
Start with a fragment of an idea. "A world where magic has run dry." "A civilization beneath the sea." Through dialogue with AI, vague images grow into rich world lore.
Living Detail (LOD)
Focus anywhere in your world, just like zooming a map. Places you focus on become richly detailed; distant places stay abstract. A world of infinite resolution.
Living characters
Characters who inhabit your world carry real personalities and relationships. Their motivations are consistent with the world's logic, and they move naturally through your stories.
Write from within
Tell stories from any character's perspective. History, culture, geography — every element of your world provides coherent context for everything you write.
Invite friends
Share your world and explore or co-create together. Grow a world with tabletop RPG companions, or open it to readers and let them wander through it.
AI as collaborator
You set the direction; AI fills in the gaps. It detects contradictions and maintains consistency. Creative control always stays in your hands.
How It Works
A world in three steps
Plant the seed
"An island nation where steam engines and magic coexist." Start with a single idea. AI draws out the shape of your world through questions.
Nurture it
Zoom in on anything that interests you. City maps, daily life, political systems — LOD lets you dig infinitely deep. AI auto-detects contradictions.
Stories emerge
Once your world has grown, spin stories within it. Novels written from a character's perspective, tabletop RPG sessions, collaborative exploration with friends.

The Long Tide
Alternate HistoryAn alternate history diverging in 1430, when the Ming court chartered its treasure-fleet program as a self-funding institution instead of a personal project tied to one admiral's favor. Eighty-seven years later, in 1520, the port of Malacca sits at the hinge of an Indian Ocean order that never fully tipped toward Europe. Chinese, Malay, Gujarati, Arab, and a newly arrived but tightly contained Portuguese presence share one strait -- uneasily, and not for much longer.
The Ledger Lantern Festival
An annual multi-day festival marking the Tribute Hall's yearly account closing, celebrated jointly by all three of Malacca's governing bodies and, in practice, by nearly everyone else in the port as well.
⚡The Charter of 1430
The founding decision of this entire timeline: the Xuande Emperor's charter establishing tariff-funded, institutionally independent command of the treasure fleet, issued the year before the historical seventh voyage.
⚡The Strait Stand (1511)
The 1511 confrontation in which a Portuguese fleet under royal orders to take Malacca was fought to a standstill rather than achieving conquest -- ending in the negotiated settlement that created the Restricted Factory.
⚡The Tariff Dispute of 1519
An ongoing, unresolved conflict over whether the Restricted Factory's trade quota should be expanded -- the immediate political tension defining Malacca as of 1520, with no side yet certain how it will end.
Living Level of Detail
The places you focus on
come alive
Focus anywhere in your world, just like pinching out on a map. From continental overviews to the contents of a shelf in a side-street shop.
Places you're not looking at stay abstract. The resolution you need, when you need it. An infinite world, at finite cost.
